Not that this is aimed at you, but at SI: How on earth can Brian Dawkins be ahead of Troy Polamalu? How can Dante Hall be ahead of Devin Hester (maybe the best KR ever?). How can Aaron Smith be ahead of future HOFer Michael Strahan? How can Antoine Winfield be above Charles Woodson? And how can Hines Ward be above TO or Marvin Harrison? I know it is not your list, but SI really missed the boat with this.

Agreed. Not only Strahan, but also Dwight Freeney were much more deserving than Aaron Smith at DE.

@Heathnyy5, I think the Dawkins selection is fitting, he set the bar for these hybrid safeties. He also had the full decade to prove his worth, whereas Polamalu joined the league in 2003. If they came in the league at the same time, then I am more than positive the nod would have gone to TP. As far as Charles Woodson goes, he had some real down years in Oakland and Winfield has been consistent, not only in coverage but one of the best tackling corners the game has seen. I agree with everything else you say though.
