Doesn't "carapace" fit just as well as "exoskeleton" for the insect shell question?

Can't remember anything called a "pincer."

Ivory is made from dentine

That's because it's now illegal to hunt elephants for their tusks. Wasn't always that way.

Well don't I feel dumb? I missed "talon" although 76% of people got it. I got gizzard though.

Add "carapace" for insect shell.

No, tusks are made from dentine. Ivory is merely the name given to the polished material made from animal tusks.

Nope, Carapace are only for crustaceans, not for insects. Although they're both in the same phylum (arthropoda) they belong in separate classes.

Pretty sure that ivory is not made from tusk. Pretty sure it's the OTHER way around. Just sayin' is all.

This quiz was badly put together.

The quiz isn't badly put together, but the question about ivory and tusk should be edited or changed. I say this because it's the only one I missed, of course. If "tusk" is the answer, the question needs to be changed to something like "A long, pointed tooth, as seen on an elephant, walrus or wild boar." Ivory itself is a natural substance composed of dentin (as badger and Superjoe92 pointed out above.)

I managed to get "tusk" It's not hard to use common sense if you weren't trying to be so technical.

The "fins" on a dolphin's sides are flippers. Its tail (specifically, each half of the tail) is its fluke. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/flipper http://www.thefreedictionary.com/fluke

A flipper is a typically flat limb evolved for movement through water. Various creatures have evolved flippers, for example penguins (also called "wings"), cetaceans (e.g. dolphins and whales; usually called ..................................."FINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!")

Octopus do NOT have tentacles! They have arms. Squid have both arms and tentacles. The difference is that tentacles are retractable, while arms are not. Just one of the problems in this quiz. My least favorite yet. >.

It took me forever to figure out that it's spelled "wattle" and not "waddle". Good gracious.
