Great quiz (I really don't know why I love geography quizzes so much)! However it's debatable whether 'Novgorod' should be accepted for 'Nizhniy Novgorod'. It does save some tricky writing but by far the most common understanding of 'Novgorod' is 'Veliky Novgorod', so it's a bit misleading.

Rotterdam should not be in this list. As it only has around 600.000 inhibitants according to both the CBS (the Dutch institute of statistics) and wikipedia.
