I'm from Centreville but surprised to see it on here. I guess this really has a lot more to do with artificial and often arbitrary lines drawn around "communities" than it does with actual population centers. I mean Centreville is really a satellite of more urban Fairfax, which in turn is a suburb of Washington DC. Plus there are other communities which are densely and highly populated that most would consider part of Fairfax like Merrifield and Falls Church- if you put all of these together there would be a lot more people than you have in Centreville. And if you look at the area around Vienna for instance the population is much more dense than it is in most parts of Centreville but I imagine Centreville just includes a bigger area as Vienna is an incorporated city with small specific boundaries.
