Andrew Jackson was not definitely born in North Carolina. He was born in a remote area that was near the North Carolina and South Carolina border; nobody knows exactly what state he was born in.

That's brilliant logic there. There's also "a giant equestrian statue of Jackson" in New Orleans. Does that mean that Louisiana can claim him too?

at the top of the quiz doesn't say anything about being born there...one can claim to be from somewhere without being born there...birth doesn't necessarily dictate where one is from
