Spinal Tap was a movie, not a real band. The "lead singer" was Lenny on Laverne & Shirley for crying out loud.

Spinal Tap is an actual band. They came out with a few albums after the mockumentary. With the all time classic Break Like the Wind, which peaked at number 61 on the US Billboard Charts). How could anyone ever forget them!?!?
