I know this has been mentioned before, but I'm sick and tired of people saying "I'm 11 and got 187", as an example First off, you really shouldn't be putting your age on the internet, and second off, nobody really cares. It's okay if you share your score, but you don't need to put your age. It makes it seem like you are an arrogant, selfish brat. It's fine to be proud of yourself, but there's a difference between gratitude and confidence then cockiness.

to take less time if your taking it timed, put shorter names for the countries, such as: car, Holland, Burma, uae,and usa, also, you don't have to put spaces in between places like timor leste, just put timorleste, or for st lucia, just put stlucia

A word of advice to those of you trying to memorize every country - for the countries that keep forgetting, go learn something about it. What language do they speak there? What religions are practiced there? What are the ethnicities of the people? Maybe learn a little about its history. Learning about the countries will make them real to you. After all, there are real people living their lives in these places, and the reason why learning all the world's countries is valuable is because it makes you understand the world more fully and complexly.

This might be one of the most positive and constructive internet comments I've ever seen! I'd just like to add that you should still learn something about all the countries, even if you don't struggle to remember their names. Memorizing a list of 196 places is certainly an accomplishment, but it becomes even more meaningful if you are able to attribute those names to something in the real world. I recognize that my comment may be slightly redundant and that I've restated a lot of what the person above said, but I still think this is something important that people need to read.

The first time I tried this quiz, I flunked it with 64%. I thought I knew something about the world, but was very humbled. It's very addictive, and like an earlier contributor said, it takes dedication and hard work. Someone finished the quiz in fewer than 5 minutes (like 10+ minutes remaining), and I thought, "How can they do that!" Well, hard work really does pay off. My best score is 9:16 remaining, but those typing skills can get in the way! Maybe one day I'll make it to the 10 minute remaining mark, just have to keep trying. We just have to look at the forward progress, no?

I hate when people are like "I'm only 12 and got 196," you don't have to share in such a cocky way and it's not really a massive deal, all you did is show you have an OK memory. I spent 2 weeks here and I don't want to come in here bragging about my age, it's not a competition, it's for fun. :)
