I'm going to sit tight. I don't have enough information to make an informed decision, but the fact that Wikipedia still uses Czech Republic makes me think that the name change is not universally accepted.

I've always wondered why NZ isn't accepted for New Zealand. I guess while NZ is a common written abbreviation, it's rarely pronounced, while people actually say UK, USA and PNG out loud. But I daresay it has something to do with it being only two letters (despite UK).

I agree. NZ should be added. DRC also works as a type-in. Guessing Congo is a smarter choice though since it gets you both Congos. I used DRC once and guess which country I forgot.

You're right - it's not sad that you spent the time to learn about the world, that's great and well done :-) You're right about the other part too - it's a little sad that someone of school leaver age (in the UK) needed a month to memorise them. Not having a go at you - just think it says something about the US education system. And I'm not saying the UK education system is great either - I didn't know all of them before taking this quiz a few times

Any chance you might add to the official list of type-ins on the site the following?

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: KSA
Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North): DPRK
Republic of Korea (South): ROK
People's Republic of China: PRC
Republic of China (Taiwan): ROC

I know I've asked before. I just am so used to using all of those abbreviations I often enter them on quizzes without thinking.

PRC and ROC are no big deal, those countries have short colloquial names anyway. But not having to type Saudi Arabia, North Korea, and South Korea all the time would be nice and go along nicely with your policy of accepting USA, UAE, FSM, DRC, CAR and so on.

Hey quiz master! I feel like the percentages that we see at the end of the quiz are super misleading, there is no way that 51% of people know of São Tomé and Príncipe! Is it possible to change these percentages to reflect the scores that people got on their first attempt only? I feel as though that's a more accurate representation!
