All the countries of Ocenia were easy for me ... Africa not so much. Best time I've done this in is 7:57 minutes ... but that doesn't make me great, it makes me practiced and proud of myself for putting the time in because now I know where all the countries are.

Perhaps having an interest in world geography is a hobby. And calling everyone liars is low, not classy at all. It really isn't that hard to learn these, with a bit of time. Or is a little hard work too much for you and you give up?

That's where you're wrong. Some of us really like world geography and did this all first time. However, on other subjects I'm not so hot - the periodic table I couldn't do it all in the first go (and still struggle). You seem very sure that people cannot possibly do this on the first go - are you suggesting that we're all liars then?

Can we have an updated map please? Samoa, Tonga and Tuvalu are in the wrong place. Samoa and Tonga both lie east of the 180 degree meridian, so should appear at the far left of the map. Tuvalu is due north of Fiji, not north-east, and has a reasonable size - its islands cover a spread of 700 km / 440 miles. At the moment it has a small Nauru-sized dot, as if it was a single small island. (I posted this last year, but nothing's been done yet!)

The map's edges are not on the 180 degree E/W meridian: Samoa is not further east than the extreme easterly part of Russia, so its place on the map here is correct (and likewise with Tonga, which isn't quite as far east as Samoa). Tuvalu looks to be in the right position too - it's showing as due north of Fiji (maybe it's been changed recently).

So I was stuck in an airport for 8 hours yesterday, which led to extreme boredom. To solve my boredom, I starting reading about different countries. When doing this reading, I learned that the Federated States of Micronesia, Palau, and the Marshall Islands are sovereign states with free association with the United States. I then researched countries that fall under this category, besides the three I mentioned, and discovered that the Cook Islands and Niue are sovereign states with free association with New Zealand. If JetPunk has the FSM, Palau, and the Marshall Islands on the Countries of the World Quiz, does that mean the Cook Islands and Niue should be included. I'm not trying to start a war, but I'm trying to present some food for thought.

ALL THIS TIME THERE WAS A "Show missing Countries" BUTTON!? I found out too late! 3 answers left that I couldn't find on the map. Had I have known I would have gotten Monaco and Bahrain in a heartbeat. Antigua and Barbuda would have probably taken a few seconds for it to click. You know, 193 out of 196 is pretty good still. My friend showed me this site about 4 months ago, and back then I would have gotten maybe 50. I just love how if somebody wanted me to point out Burkina Faso I would easily be able to do it.. feels good to learn again. Not to mention the context it gives you for when you hear about something in the news and you know where it is. A+
