Hdny42 | Canada has less people than the state of California: over 34 million live in Canada, while just shy of 38 million live in the Golden State. As you can see by the list, with 51 million being last, Canada wouldn't get on. Another very powerful (by GDP and global influence) nation without many people is Australia. It has less people than the US state of Texas, and only slightly more than New York State, with 22 million.
