DANG IT! I missed lithuania. I think greenland should be up there, because it is a country. The Czech Republic is also north of Ukraine, so that should be an answer as well.

Yep, my Google Earth confirms it easy. Japan's highest point is 45'31"N, while North Korea's is 43'00"N. Mongolia would actually be next on the list at 52'08"N, which is only about 14 minutes (15 miles) south of Ukraine. That would take you between 2 and 4 hours to jog.

Some folks are apparently forgetting that typical maps are skewed. You can't tell what's farther north just by looking at where it is on a straight line across the map. That's what those curvy-line-thingies are on there for. ;)

I do not agree with including Holland as acceptable for The Netherlands as Holland is actually the name of 2 provinces of The Netherlands (North and South Holland)

I completely agree with slamdog00001 is really annoys me when people assume that Holland IS The Netherlands when they are two different things. It's like people thinking that England or English refers to the whole of the UK when it's only one part of it.
