I think Martial arts should also be accepted for mixed martial arts.

shouldn't "Free Running" be acceptable for parkour?

darkseraphim21
Wow, we have really loosened our standards of what a "sport" is. 19/20 though.

So... 1% of people didn't know Tiger Woods played golf???? They better be keeping a spotless cave in the middle of nowhere, or I'll be upset.

No one will ever say that Steve Young is a better QB than Joe Montana, thats like saying Scottie Pippen was a better basketball player than Michael Jordan, come on man... There is a Kenyon Martin that plays for the Rockets.

I'm thinking UFC or Cage Fighting should be accepted... took me ages to think of typing MMA lol... No idea on the speed skater... I admit, I was just naming sports after I got stuck - so missing 1 ain't half bad!! lol

Wrong. Table tennis is most definately a sport. It's one of my favorite sports. There is a difference between a sport and a game, but even pool (billiards) is considered a sport. Anything that involves physical competition between at least two people, where a crowd can spectate and root for someone is a sport, even if the activitity isn't very demanding on the body. Table tennis can actually be VERY demanding. Have you ever tried to play, or watch the guys on tv play?

And for that matter, while we're at it, ESPN apparently even considers poker a sport. POKER!!!!!!

Parkour, I had to look up, still not sure what kind of sport it is. David Belle is listed as a phys ed trainer. Kevin Martin is also a basketball player. And it's Misty May-Treanor. She's been married since 2004, should be long enough by now.

No lacrosse, rugby, fencing, racing, and others...but curling made it? Good quiz but needs to be expanded.

If sachin tendulkar is there for cricket - which I am fairly certain is a sport not played widely in the US - then representatives of rugby (George Gregan, Brad Thorn, Dan Carter, John Eales, Phil Kearns etc) should be considered, and rugby league also (Benji Marshall, Andrew Johns, Wallie Lewis, Peter Sterling, Ryan Girdler). Just an Aussie perspective on the issue. And maybe throw in somebody royal for Polo, hehe

I always forget the 'football' issue. I see David Beckham, type 'football', and it appears next to some guy I've never heard of.

I think 'ice hockey' should be accepted for Wayne Gretzky. To me, hockey is more comparable with field hockey than ice hockey.
2012-04-12 | reply
Quizmaster
Okay. That will work now.
