its the longest distance to walk between just 2 points, like if youd walk back right afterwards youd walk double the distance right?

that's what the word 'direct' in the description means - the walk is always the shortest between those two points, and this is the longest of the shortest routes

Nice quiz, but not sure where you got L'Agulhas from, which sounds French. We call it Cape Agulhas and I've never heard anyone ever refer to it as L'Agulhas and I've lived in South Africa all my life. Awesome quiz though.

Thanks for the suggestion. I got L'Agulhas from the video source of the quiz but I have now changed the name to Cape Agulhas

According to Google maps the path takes you from South Africa through Botswana before going through Zimbabwe

Also does not touch Malawi

The route also has 2 big ferry rides, 1 across the Red Sea and another across the Black Sea. Somehow can't remove the ferries.

The source video (in the caveat) explains the route in the quiz. The video also had difficulties getting rid of the ferries but adapted the route so there would be no rides. It's a very interesting video and I recommend watching it if you have the time :)

Once you're in Magadan, why not make a little effort and walk all the way to Oda?
