Can you figure out which countries are the most democratic, ranked by how big the proportion of the population that considers their country to be democratic?
Source: Democracy Perception Index by Alliance Of Democracies
The report only includes 53 countries, so a lot of countries will not be on the list
"ranked by how big the proportion of the population that considers their country to be democratic"
(from the quiz description)
I, too, was extremely incredulous until I went back up and read that, at which point everything made complete sense.
The Chinese people largely do consider their country to be democratic, based on several things I've read in the past. (Owing, largely, to a different conception of what "democratic" means.)
Which really makes the title of the quiz misleading. Rather than "Most Democratic Countries," perhaps "Countries Who Most Believe They Are Democratic?"
Perceptions of democracy is very interesting. But your title is very misleading and I'd doubt that political surveys in authoritarian states like China are as reliable as those in democracies.
