IMO, the source this quiz is based upon has methodological issues. The fact that 143 countries have higher than a .8 on the 'how triangle is it' scale leads to very little variability in the 'correct' answers. (Not to mention that wholly 140 countries are ALL in the .8 range; only 3 are above .9. So there's so minimal variation as to be pretty meaningless, imo.)
I'm definitely not going to work out the math myself, but I wonder if taking each of those triangles overlaying countries and calculating the absolute distance from actual boarders to triangle boarders would provide a better measure of 'triangleness.' No idea how to do that, but I'm more of a math person than a geospatial person. Anyway... my two cents.
