Countries with state religions

Note: A state religion is defined as "a religious body or creed endorsed by the state". This does not mean that the state religion is forced upon all of the state's citizenry, though this is the case in a few countries. In fact some of the countries with state religions are among the most progressive and democratic in the world. In most cases the existing state religious organization is very loosely tied to the government of that state. Furthermore nations that outlaw all religion are not counted as having a state religion of atheism. Enjoy.
