Benjamin Franklin did not invent the kite. He famously used a kite for his electricity experiment, but the invention of the kite is credited to the Chinese many centuries before Franklin lived.

For O: The Ohio River Valley is where Americans were banned from colonizing by the Royal Proclamation of 1763.

Nice quiz. Since you asked I thought I'd give you some suggestions about the letter O. See if you like one of them :)

The "Olive Branch Petition" was the last attempt of the American congress to talk to George III about concessions before they just fought an all out war for independence. The King refused to even recieve the petition

According to John Adams, the Revolution was born when lawyer James Otis started a lawsuit against the navigation act, so "Otis"

Im sure you could do something with "Ohio Valley" since American settlers wanted to go there but where forbidden by the British which caused unrest, so "Ohio Valley"

Britain was the American colonial "Overlord" before the war

Royalist who left the US after its indepedence mostly settled in "Ontario"

It's a good idea, but the kite experiment occurred 24 years before the war began....
