I'm not sure that makes sense. Every 20 years or so... descendants of WWII veterans have... baby girls? Or men who died during WWII would have been more likely to have male descendants? I might be missing your point, I suppose, but it just doesn't seem to make sense.

In Russia and Ukraine it is because of heavy alcoholism in the male population. Life expectancy for men in Russia is only 68. For women it is 78.

Lol! I have traveled around Europe and the Irish are not the heaviest drinkers at all. In the UK and Eastern Europe I saw the most drunks! I am a teatotaller. So it is funny; but you're right. Wow quizm. 68?!!! Thanks for the stat. I didn't think it was THAT low.

Numeral reasons:

- Wars (men died serving in the army)

- Men do physically hard work with all the risks included so they die younger (sometimes by accident)

- Economy (It's not uncommon for men to leave and move to West Europe where there's more money to be made)

It's not necessarily how much people drink, but how short a period they drink it in (binge drinking) that is the problem here in the UK. Basically the entire after dark culture is centred around it

There's a big demographic bottleneck in the FSU still due to the WW2 deaths. That's the first one I thought of with this quiz.

I think its parts of Australia that have tons of women .. but the men didn't leave the country, they just went to mining towns in the outback

Millions of Bengali men are working outside of their country in India, the Gulf countries of the Middle East, and elsewhere. Most of them are unskilled low-paid workers not permitted to bring their families with them. If not for this fact, more than likely inadequate women's healthcare and gender discrimination may have potentially led to a gender imbalance going in the opposite direction, but then again Bangladesh is also one of the most populous countries on Earth and on average women are longer-lived than men. Even a small percentage change equals a big difference in absolute numbers.

And Greece. Such sweet calm people-love them. People from Bangladesh have this calming effect. It's like they are permanently peaceful. I have not met one rude Bangladeshi here. Really sweet I was stressing the other day and this man who has a store here was like a swim in the Aegean or hugging a redwood lol! I left there completely calm . he was like a little happy buddha. I am going back just for the good vibes What is their secret to being so chill? Nepali people are like that too. This is rhetorical mut.

Russian women are hideous once they turn 30. And they have large unattractive features before then. They use makeup to mask this and spend a lot of time on their hair and clothes. Not the most naturally beautiful women in the world Lol!

This might be part of why Russia is by far the easiest place in Europe to meet exceptional women, and why you so commonly see gorgeous made-up model-looking females on the arms of some schlumpy unshaven doofus with a beer belly wearing flip flops, cut-off jean shorts and a fishnet tank top. Or maybe a track suit. Kind of sad, but at the same time, great place to be a man. And Russian women are the most beautiful in the world. Most of them are smart and well-educated, too.

It's because of age. If you're 40 or younger, there are probably still more men than women in your bracket. The difference is made with the generation +60.
