States with a Buc-ee’s

As a veteran Texan of 11 years, I can confirm that Buc-ee’s is maybe one of the greatest gas station-convenience stores in the world, and you always seem to find them on a road trip exactly when you need them. I think the reason they originated in Texas is because you need them to survive a drive in that state. You can drive for hours and only be a few counties over! Imagine you’re taking a drive from El Paso to Houston. You’re not making that trip supported by a bunch of stops at 7-11, no siree bob! You need a convenience store the size of a shopping mall and a gas station the size of a Corpus Christi oil refinery. You need a store that has barbecues and firewood out front and trail mix and a bakery inside. You need a parking lot large enough to land a returning space shuttle and a lineup of gruff Texan truckers and their big rigs parked out front. Come and take it! Remember the Alamo! Yeeeee-haw!
