Sadly, more quiz takers know who everyone's friend on the social network vacuum of Myspace is than who the U.S. Chief Justice is.

If it makes you feel any better, I didn't know either one. I could picture the Chief Justice, but couldn't think of his name.

I only have schoolyard bullies to back me up here, but I always thought it was a "monobrow"

Yup, definitely referred to as a monobrow as well, or at least in Australia

Monobrow will work now.

Fortune cookies only apply for chinese restaurants outside of China, so... if you go to China you won't get a fortune cookie after your meal, just saying...

Google was and is a mispelt word by the creators of the search engine. 1 followed by 100 zeros is 'Googol'.
Jun 12, 2012 delete reply
Kquilikquiit
Yeah, it should be spelled "googol" and not "google".

14th February is right!
Nobody in England would say February 14 or February 14th, we say the number first so can you allow the other way round as well? I tried for ages even with 14th OF february, 14/02 etc it never occured to me to put February first, please allow it :)

Yeah, but in the US 14th Februar is wrong. So both answers should be accepted.

That will work now.

you have probably taken enough quizzes by now to know that it uses american format for most things

That won't help someone who doesn't know what the American date format is. It's no big deal to accept both. It's not like 14th February is WRONG. It's still the right date, obviously.

The math problem could have many answers. In total at what point in time? After a month? A year? A decade?
Jun 13, 2012 delete reply
Kquilikquiit
That is true. You don't really know how long you're going to be getting the interest.

It makes me so sad that only 14% knew who wrote One Hundred Years of Solitude, such an amazing book.

It's kind of sad that 20 times more people know what game show Pat Sajak hosts than ones that know what Teotihuacan is.

That $13000 question is phrased poorly. You don't ask how much money you'd have after one year, you just ask how much money you have. So the answer could be $13,000 (the moment you deposit it), $13,650 (after 1 year), $21,176 (after 10 years), or any other amount greater than $13,000, depending on just how long you want to keep this money in the bank.
