Identify all animals native to the continent of Africa that can reach a mass of 100 Ib (45 kg)
Or, in other words, name a ton of antelope and gazelle species.
Humans are not included in this list, nor are any fully aquatic animals. For the purposes of this quiz, sea turtles are fully aquatic.
For this quiz, Africa includes the Sinai, and nearby islands such as Madagascar or the Seychelles
domesticated animals, even species that are descended from native animals, such as the dromedary camel, are not included in this list.
Fairly decent chance I missed a gazelle. Please tell me if you think one should be here that is not.
As far as specific animals go, Red Deer are native to North Africa, as are wild boar, Grey Wolves can be found in the Sinai. Arguably, the latter might be seen as part of Asia, but I arbitrarily decided they should be on this list. As far as island wildlife goes, the only thing surviving that made the list was the Aldabra Giant Tortoise of Aldabra in the Seychelles. People have done a fairly good job of exterminating anything large on other African islands, like most islands worldwide.
