You could just say "Navy SEALs"... don't really need to specify Seal Team Six, even if that is an elite team within an elite team. The Navy Seals by themselves, all of them, are still more elite than any other group on this quiz except maybe Delta Force. You also ought to include the Army Rangers or 75th Ranger Regiment.
The problem with that is this is the TOP 10, ergo I'm not going to include every special forces group there is. It's also not the 'the world's best special forces groups, according to Kalbahamut's opinion'. As I said in the description, "not necessarily ordered by rank", however, that being said, the SAS are *generally* considered to be the best... they're completely on par with the Navy Seals, so much so that they work very closely and train together when necessary. The reason I placed them first is because they're the original special forces unit; used as a template for most other nations around the world, including the Navy Seals. They also receive more training with Secret Intelligence (MI6) than the Navy Seals do with the American secret services. The Army Rangers don't qualify in this top 10.
Perhaps the Rangers in general don't but I'd say the 75th Regiment does. And... all of these units do different things so, you're right, it's kind of pointless trying to rank them. Still, if I was being held hostage somewhere I'd rather the SEALS be coming to get me than the SAS.
I've given some thought to your comments, looked through the 75th Regiment, and decided that, that specific regiment of the Rangers deserves a place. Combined with the fact that the German GSG-9, although a special operations task force, are technically police, not army. I've taken the liberty to order the groups with more thought. The first list I made, I only really paid attention to the top 3 in terms of rank.
If I needed saving, I'd definitely be tempted to pick the Navy SEALs, based on their reputation and US military spending budget. But based on military record, and relative success, which, objectively has been stupendously good. I'd go with the SAS, personally. Maybe a little patriotism has something to do with it, too, admittedly.
I'd remove the French and add in the british SBS special boat service and also remove the US green Berets and add in the british royal marine commandos specifically 42 commando
Got everything right except MARCOS and S13. Infact the spelling was to blame for the latter. I just couldnt spell it properly....I tried Sayetet 13, Sayeret MATKAL lol.
