i am not aware of this, how does this happen? I cannot find it in the NFL rulebook

I could be wrong but I think that on a two point conversion, if the defense gets the ball, they can return it to the side of the field that the ball wan't snapped from, and can then attempt a drop kick for one point if they so choose.

well, seeing that the defense could simply run that ball into endzone for two points, i do not see why that rule would exist. You could be right as it could exist NCAA, Canadian, or the other pre nfl-afl merger leagues, but since it is not in the NFL rulebook i will keep it out of this quiz.

Just out of curiosity, does a defensive safety also include a PAT/2pt conversion that gets returned for two points?

you are right, a two-point conversion or PAT that is returned to the other endzone would yield the defense 2 points. This was an oversight, I will add 2 point conversion to the defensive scoring list
