Personally I am surprised that more people know Zara than Kaifeng, Damietta, or Roger Bacon. I only put that on here because it's hard to find Z answers.

I only got it because I typed "Zaragoza" in a desperate attempt to name every European and Near Eastern "Z" city that came to mind. Whatever works, I guess.

A testing quiz, I was pleased to manage 19/26, of course being prompted with first letter is very helpful. Yes, of course I should have got Bacon's first name, I was thinking "that's Bacon". For B, I tried Boudewijn first (something lurking in my brain from former life in Holland), didn't know the common name was Baldwin in English, but guessed it anyway. Oh, spelling "dysentery", btw. for L.
