The three previous sequels I made in this series were all still pretty easy judging by the average scores. But I think finally this one actually is truly very difficult. If you want to take a crack at an easier version, click through to parts 23 or 4.
Cebu is the 2nd largest city in the Philippines. First place the Spaniards set up shop. Magellan was killed there by Lapu Lapu on Mactan Island.
Verdun was the site of a very important battle in WW2 and the street listed was important in that battle.
Aalborg is an important city in Denmark, though it was more important during the Middle Ages.
Al Ain is a city up in the mountains of the UAE, near the border with Oman. The Jebel Hafeet Mountain Road on the city's outskirts has been named in some polls as the best driving road in the world.
I think Cebu might also be the oldest permanent English settlement in all of East Asia, and Colon St (named for Columbus, formerly Priest or Padre St) is the oldest street in Cebu. Nearby are Magellan's Cross and the churches of St Augustine and Santo Nino.
I think that's on the first quiz in this series, which I did not author. It was featured on the front page; I only did the four excellent sequels. I didn't want to copy any answers, though.
I'm pretty sure that there's a lot more famous cities than Al Ain, Aalborg, Verdun, Key West and for some even Cebu City. Why didn't you put College Street or Park Street of Kolkata ?
Never heard of the streets you mentioned (and I'm sure there are probably 1000 Park Streets and College Streets in the world at least as well known as any in Kolkata), but I've seen the road by Al Ain mentioned on numerous lists of top driving roads in the world, I've seen the road from Verdun in historical documentaries, and I've been to Key West and Cebu before where these streets are very well known.
You're right, though, that not every city here is famous. I was getting tired of making these quizzes and having every answer be the same few cities... New York, London, Chicago, Los Angeles, Paris... so, I wanted to make a version that was a little more challenging. If you didn't like this one, maybe try the first 4 in the series. They are easier and feature more famous cities.

Or Anna Salai of Chennai ?
