Even if Jetpunk doesn't recognize it as a country, it should at least fill in when you enter Israel. Kinda strange to just have it completely missing from the map entirely.

The problem is that if they make it a country, people get mad. If they fill it in along with Israel, people get mad. Given that, I have no freaking clue why they don't do the same thing with Taiwan, Kosovo, Western Sahara, or any number of other places.

If we are going to go by that logic - Kosovo shouldn't be here either, neither should North Korea. Crimea shouldn't be a part of Russia...

I think we just have to accept that all of these disputed territories are either included or not included by a completely arbitrary system - namely, whether or not Quizmaster feels like it. Sure, there are some guidelines of international consensus, but in the end Quizmaster has the final say for what this site recognizes. I'm sure he has his reasons.

Yes-alphabetic listing is enough of a cheat. I was also originally thinking there should be a little dot for the countries that are too small to see (like on the countries of the world quiz), but I kind of like having to remember all those little places on my own.

Very nice quiz! Love it! 9:11 left on the clock on my second try and without checking the alphabetical list. I am happy! :) The first try I just couldn't remember some of the countries and gave up. Apparently the "thousand" times of practicing on the regular world map quiz has worked magic on my memory and has been definitely worth the time.

For me, the main thing that makes this quiz harder is the list. I would have been able to figure out the two island countries I missed if it was sorted by continent in the list like in the normal quiz. I think with the title being "Countries of the World with an Empty Map" it would be better to keep everything else about the quiz the same as the normal one.

I don't even know how many times I have taken this, but I have finally got 100% (really embarrassing omissions some of the times). Great concept. The original had stopped being a challenge. It's not so difficult to name the Koreas or an Island state when you can see it. Where it's missing from the map, only a knowledge of continental landshapes helped me get some of them.

I'd like to make a quiz which is a re-adjustment of your country border quiz, but only for countries that look similar, like Ethiopia and Zimbabwe, to help focus on countries confused by simularity. Please can I use your map images? I can just screen grab them.

Thanks Relessness. I had a look at the HTML code but its too difficult for me right now, to figure out. Here are the borders I thought were similar and confusing anyway: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B-FU8KomQ-chdW9IZlNKdm80Tkk Feel free to use them, or let me know if you agree with my selection. I found it helpful to view similar borders side by side to distinguish.

Awesome. Yeah to explain the html to you over comments is probably not the best way to do it, but if you think that your screen shots don't have good enough quality then feel free to use the original files on imgur. Have fun making the quiz!
