WWE ALL Women's World Champions Quiz

On May 19th, 1984, the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE), bought the rights to the NWA Women's World Championship, renaming it to the WWF Women's World Championship. Its existing champion was recognized, and with it began WWE's long, often convoluted, but ultimately successful relationship with Women's pro wrestling. The original title ran from '84, and was dropped and revived from WWE's active titles twice: in 1990 and again in 1995 (in the latter of those cases, it was literally dropped into a trashcan on WCW Nitro). In 2008, WWE created a Divas championship during the original WWE brand split and split the two belts between brands. Then, in 2010, the original WWE Women's title was retired and the Divas championship remained as the sole women's title. In 2016, as part of the women's revolution in wrestling worldwide, WWE decided to retire the now-dated term Divas and, in tandem with a new brand split, create two all new women's championships, complete with their own lineages unrelated to the previous titles.
