Hint
Answer
This power forward was a 3x all-star, ROY, and all-NBAer with the Nets in the 1980s. He has the most career rebounds of anyone not in the HOF... more than Mutombo, Barkley, or Rodman.
Buck Williams
This former Sun was a 4x All-Star (including the '86-'87 AS game MVP) and with just over 20,000 career points, he has the most points of any eligible player not in the HOF.
Tom Chambers
Nicknamed "The Matrix," he was 4-time All-Star and 2x All-NBAer and spent most of his time with the Suns and Mavs, earning a ring with the latter in 2011.
Shawn Marion
Limited offensively, he was one of the best rebounders and defenders of all time, and finished his career with 5 All-NBA team selections, 4 All-Star games, 4 defensive player of the year awards, and a ring.
Ben Wallace
Longevity kept this perennial 1990s All-Star out of contention. He finished his injury-shortened career with 6 All-Star selections and 3 All-NBA teams, and is still considered one of the most exciting dunkers ever.
Shawn Kemp
Hint
Answer
This power forward was a 6x All-Star and 5x All-NBAer; he ended his career a bit early with knee problems and no rings. He had a cameo in the 2015 movie "Train Wreck" and is a dual American - Israeli citizen.
Amar'e Stoudemire
No player not in the Hall has more career steals than this 3-time NBA steals champ. At his peak with the Spurs and Bucks, back injuries cut his career short at 12 seasons. He still managed 6 All Defensive teams and the 1985 DPOY award.
Alvin Robertson
A two-time 1st team All-NBA selection, injuries cut short this lanky guard's promising career. Along with his former teammate Shaquille O'Neal, he also had a major role in the 1990s movie "Blue Chips"
Anfernee Hardaway
Listed by Basketball Reference's HOF probability tool as having a 94% chance of enshrinement, this 8x All Star played in the all-but-forgotten era of 1950 - 1962 and has never gotten the nod.
Larry Foust
Another old-timer (1946 - 1956), this player nicknamed "Slats" was a 4 time All-BAA/NBA First Teamer (1947–1950) and the BAA scoring champion (1948). He was also one of only 2 players nominated -- though ultimately not selected -- to the 1971 NBA 25th Anniversary team that never made it into the Hall.
