It's neither good nor bad. It just is. It's a good thing that women can hold these positions, but it isn't a good thing to strive to put more women in these positions. It must happen naturally, without bias either way.
I don't know how the justices would take to being called "political" figures. And Ivanka seems odd, not elected, not confirmed by the Senate, unlike every other position on here.
Hey, she designs handbags, okay. What sort of resume do you need to be an presidential advisor when the bar for the big job has fallen so, so painfully low?
Claiming to be Cherokee when your only link is through ancestors roughly 6-10 generations back is lying though. There's way more to being Native American than DNA tests, it has to do with culture and she is not Native American.
Nah, she didn't "lie" about it but at several points she mentioned it or later on just let it pass. But that does not make it right. Perhaps she just internalized being of Native American ancestry, in a now increasingly recognized trend of being trans-racial, as was prominently documented for: Rachel Dolezal (white woman assuming AA identity), Jessica Krug (white woman assuming a Hispanic or Afro-Carribean identity) or Elizabeth Hoover (white woman who claimed Native American heritage). Not all of these cases are clear-cut, but it's hard to disentangle oneself from a self-recognized identity, especially if there are tangible benefits that come with it (as is often the case in academia). Look up Jay Caspian Kang (former writer for Grantland, a now defunct sports website) on the New Yorker about Elizabeth Hoover for some well-reported, neuanced view of this phenomenon.
You prefer politicians who never mean anything they say? You must love the current president then. Yeah, Warren is maybe the most principled and integrous of all members of Congress. How horrible?
This quiz needs an update. Harris is now the Vice President, and Ivanka Trump is no longer involved with the Presidency. RBG has also passed away and should be replaced by Amy Comey Barret.
My assumption would be because they are only representatives they aren't as significant as Cabinet Secretaries, Supreme Court Justices, Senators or the Speaker of the House.
I just got 20/20 on famous females in history, but only 12/16 on this one. Part of it is because I'm not as up on current affairs these days. I think that a more proper version of this would include those further back - like Eleanor Roosevelt, for sure, and maybe another First Lady or two. Ferraro would have been a nice one, as well as perhaps Maxine Waters...Madeline Albright...Elizabeth Dole. All of these featured on this quiz have been active within the last 20 years.
