How strange. Here's a typical recipe. It calls for 3 whole avocados and just 1 teaspoon of garlic. Not the ideal recipe for repelling vampires, but probably has a better taste overall.
I just meant, I use a lottt of garlic. Volumewise, avocados obviously are the bigger ingredient. Whereas my previous comment was meant as a joke eventhough by volume there is more avocado, I still consider the garlic to be main, it makes the dish.
it definitely is not 3 avocados vs 1 teaspoon for me (wth, a teaspoon of garlic?? that is the weirdest thing I have ever heard haha, I get all sorts of weird images now, melted garic etc) I use more like 2 cloves per avocado. (depending on sizes, if it is a small avocado and a big clove, could be 1) For 3 avocados, you would get half a bulb atleast. I estimate a teaspoon is half a clove. you would need a microscope for that haha. Or a scentdog to find the garlic in the guacamole :P
Sometimes making guacamole takes too much time, so i just put 1 avocado and 1 garlic clove on my bread, with some salt (and pepper). sometimes just half an avocado (and sometimes a little cheese added) yum
Boxing Day is the best: its like a day to recover from the stress of Christmas Day and everyone is too full and lazy to come over and bother you, leaving you to enjoy your selection boxes, left over turkey and special Christmas cheeses in peace.
Cannot tell if this is true but I've decades ago learned that milkmen, mailmen etc. used to carry a box that day along the rounds and collect "Christmas money" from the customers. So, they were "boxing".
Could you PLEASE stop referring to it in quiz after quiz after quiz as the "British Commonwealth"? It's just as anachronistic as calling Beijng "Peking" or Mumbai "Bombay". JetPunk is rightly insistent on correct modern usage in such cases - and yet those are more recent changes (1979 in Beijing's case, 1995 in Mumbai's). The Commonwealth of Nations stopped being called the "British Commonwealth" (a name which has very obvious imperial connotations which everyone involved is extremely keen to avoid) as long ago as April 1949.
So we should remove the 'British' and just say 'Commonwealth countries'? I don't really see what that does other than gloss over the imperial connotations, which are rather important to acknowledge since the British Empire was one of the largest and most powerful in world history. Makes sense for British leaders, but don't know why JetPunk would want to avoid recognizing that.

Obviously, accept "yeast"; but I think you should also accept "leavening" and "rising/raising [agent]" and maybe "baking soda/powder" too.
