Of course the scores seem to be proportional to the popularity of the film or miniseries adaptations. I didn't know that the "Maximum Overdrive" story was entitled "Trucks", but I appreciate the former being accepted!
Thought for sure we would have seen The Mist or Dreamcatcher here. Otherwise not too bad at 14/19, surprised I remembered Trucks but missed The Shinning
There's currently an American TV show based on that book. It just had its 2nd season finale this week. I don't know how true to the book it is (since I've never read the book) but the show is twisty and strange and fun to watch. :)
I guess its inevitable with anyone this extremely prolific, but some of his stuff is terrible. Other stuff is great. A talented writer, but often seems in desperate need of a team of very critical editors.
Read "Pet Sematary" as a teenager and couldn't look at my cat for weeks. Read "It" in my early 20's and now have a visceral fear of clowns. Stephen King owes me for therapy.
We were flying out of Bangor airport when the Langoliers was being filmed. Interesting to be in an active airport that was supposed to look completely deserted!
It's sort of a fun coincidence that this quiz happens to be featured on the same day when I decided to visit the bookstore and buy another Stephen King book. I picked Mr. Mercedes.
Can't believe I got as many as I did seeing as I didn't realize just how many of these he had done...quite the impressive library of books he has written!
I got 8 out of 19. Considering I haven't read a single bit of his works, I am quite pleased with that result. I knew what Cujo was, but couldn't for the life of me remember the name.
It was like 5 pages.
