In quizzes where the answers are peoples' names, we should do them the courtesy of spelling their names correctly. (except Silverman - can't stand her!)
If this were Jeopardy!, simply saying the name would suffice, and LOTS of people would get SM correct. Having to spell the name correctly does not weed out people who don't know the correct answer.
The quiz-maker should definitely do them the courtesy of spelling their names correctly, but quiz-takers inability to precisely spell difficult names is not a manifestation of some lack of courtesy.
