Could you change "Leafy Sea Dragon" to also accept just "Sea Dragon"? Also I agree with 26ymohanty that "Puma" and "Cougar" should be accepted for Mountain Lion, as different regions call that particular animal different things.
Sea dragon without the “leafy” qualifier absolutely should be accepted. Also, there are several synonyms for mountain lion, including puma, cougar, and panther. And ermine is a color variant of the stoat or weasel, all of which should be acceptable.
Inconsistent in asking specificity for some animals and not others - for example 'Lemur' (for ringtailed lemur) is okay, but you demand 'Grizzly bear' when you should probably just be okay with 'bear'.
The solution might be to make the visible answer the most specific names for all - but in most cases accept more generic terms as answers. For ex. by putting 'camel' you'd get the right answer but it would show up as 'bactrian camel' (and you could also get the right answer by going for that specific name). It would also make the quiz more educational.
Also please accept alternative names like cougar or puma.
Nice quiz. For the "sea turtle" answer could you please just consider "turtle"? I know that in the USA "turtle" refers to basically any reptile with a shell and four legs but in a lot of other countries this is not the case and the term "sea turtle" is almost unknown. In many commonwealth countries "turtle" refers specifically to the US "sea turtle". "Tortoise" is used for a land-based "turtle" and "terrapin" for a fresh-water based "turtle". I was trying every type of specific turtle I could think of before it occurred to me that you may be using the term in its US sense and I stumbled on the answer. Thanks.
I love the idea behind this quiz, but it needs to be made a lot more consistent. On some animals you want a specific species where on others you are looking for a broad term. If you were to go back and improve this quiz, I would change them all to being the specific species and then accept broader terms as type ins. I also think you are missing a lot of alternate but equally valid names for these animals.
In addition to many of the other suggestions here, I think "scarlet ibis" should be accepted for the ibis. We shouldn't be punished for being more specific than required, while still correct.
This is a really fun quiz, but a bit frustrating that some are sooo specific and others aren't. For example sea horse or mole isn't accepted but woodpecker is. Why do I need to know specific kind of mole but any woodpecker is ok. Also, mountain lion is also a cougar.
P.S. Great quiz, that is the only one I got wrong
BTW, that’s the fattest dingo I’ve ever seen!
*If one answer doesn't work, be more specific*
"North American Brown Bear"
*If that answer doesn't work, be less specific*
"Bear...."
Otherwise, fun quiz!
LOVE this quiz!!!
