If Iceland's geothermal power use was scaled up to service the population of the USA it would be easily be first with 643 Gigawatts (or about 531 Deloreans)
That could create a time paradox, the results of which could cause a chain reaction that would unravel the very fabric of the space time continuum, and destroy the entire universe! Granted, that's a worse case scenario.
Good quiz. With a mixture of knowledge and guessing, I got them all except Kenya. For me that was a real surprise. One keeps learning by doing these quizzes (well, the Geographical ones anyway).
Volcanoes aren't usually directly used for geothermal power. Geothermal energy can be sourced from relatively near the surface. Volcanoes are just a good rule of thumb for places with high activity and that have more heat in the ground.
Given that I know nothing about geothermal energy or where it is used, I was pretty happy to get 7/10. Also, I'm perpetually impressed by Jetpunk users, this time for knowing that Iceland of all places produces a lot of geothermal power.
