We thought this was our coolest quiz (cue groans for a painful pun), but then we discovered from joez's Coldest Countries quiz that Iceland isn't the coldest country at all. It's not the 2nd coldest either. Or the 3rd coldest. Before you head over to his quiz to see why Iceland ranks only fourth, see if you can guess which three other countries are ahead (or behind, depending how you read thermometers) of Iceland.
Just remember that Earth is a globe: Poland is quite far north, so its northernmost point is closer to Iceland than the Mercator projection would suggest.
Can't tell if you are joking... you are joking right?? The US is more like 3300 km away, more than 1000km further than spain, like 150% the distance of spain.
Morocco is even closer, or Bulgaria or Moldova (picked some spread out ones, because different people will get surprised by different countries)
It would actually make for a nice, quiz, all the countries closer to iceland than the us ;) (and could make a good series, hope one day I get the energy and time to do it)
So 83 out of 100 people got all questions correct.
