Do Germans pronounce the W like a V even when it's referring to an English-speaking region? (sorry comment isn't in german lol)

In German the "V" can be pronounced as "W" or "F". E.g. the word "Vision" (same in english) is pronounced like a "W", while the word "Vater" (father) is pronounced like an "F". Maybe there is a rule for when tio do what, but I don't know it ;) // When we speak english, we mostly try to pronounce everything like an english speaking person would. A german with heavy accent might do it as you suggested.
