You spelled it all right! (This is a minor miracle.) I can tell you're learning Spanish from Spain, because many of these things are different in Mexico. For example, we say "el pastel" for a cake, because in Mexico "una torta" is a sandwich. We say "la malteada" for a milkshake, but if it is mostly fruits, we say "el licuado". And we say "la nieve" for ice cream. If you say "el helado" people will understand, but it's kind of like the difference between British and North American English. In fact the biggest chain of ice cream stores in Mexico, kind of like North American Baskin-Robbins (but better!) is called Tepoznieves. Pero te deseo mucho éxito al aprender nuestro idioma!
