And I knew earwigs don't go anywhere near ears (have had em in my pants though, it hurts like hell when they get you, and are rather trigger happy, they only slightly need to be in a pinch, haha (that one wasnt planned, wonder if the term is related) Have had that happen several times! I think most of the times was when I was sitting on a loungebed or outside couch, they were hiding in the nooks and crannies, the folds of fabric or metal hollow joints. They are assholes haha.
I sort of read that one as where people think it comes from.
You cant see in the stats who were fooled or not ! Unfortunately. (per question, some might be fooled by all, others perhaps float in and out of reality? haha)

Everything from 0 - 1 is the first year, 1-2 the second year and so on. 1999 - the time between the start of 1999 and midnight 1999/2000 is the 2000th year, the last year of the 20th century.
To labor the point if I ask you for One million dollars and you only give me $900,000 you haven't given me nothing!
I genuinely didn't know that there was no year zero. I'd never heard this before, just the pronouncement that we had to add an extra year with no explanation.
Happy to be corrected and learn :)
January thru December of 1 A.D. was the entirety of the Year 1, A.D. and was the first year of the new millennium. The Year 2, A.D. was the 2nd year of the millennium. To complete a millennium, you need 1,000 years, so December 31 of the Year 1000 A.D. completed the first millennium.
January 1, 1001 A.D. began the 2nd millenium. December 31, 2000 A.D. completed the second millennium.
January 1, 2001 was the first day of the third millennium.
This, of course, does not take into account time travel or the desert menu at Ruth's Chris Steak House. (I highly recommend the Sahara Sorbet)
Thanks for the correction and explanation!
Interesting to know.
When I had had people tell me this previously they'd never explained why - or likely knew - so I'd just presumed they didn't know how counting worked!
Despite this being the internet, I'm happy to be corrected.
Cheers

I mean, great, cental America has more gun deaths per capita than the USA, well done. But the USA still has a massive problem (2nd highest gun deaths WW) and the highest gun-related suicides per capita. So why are we writing a snarky quiz question about a tragic ignorance by American lawmakers?
