The description was probably translated by Google or word for word cause it makes little sense. It should be something like: "Fülle die Karte von Europa aus, indem du das jeweils hervorgehobene Land richtig errätst."
I don't speak German but I knew just about enough German to decipher the meanings of most of the countries and only got the Czech republic and Hungary wrong.
Yea If I had to spell it myself I would be in trouble.. But even if you know zero german these are easily decipherable. Only ungarn might be tricky out of context. (and for some perhaps weißrussland, but not if they new the actual meaning of belarus which is white russia. Or have common sense; what other country has the word rus in it besides russia))
Haha I only knew what Deutchland ment on this quiz (with the exception of Croatia, Bosnia, Kosovo and other obvious ones) It was very similar to English so i got 43/45 (I messed up Lithuania and Latvia)
How about Duitsland...(dutch) Tyskland (danish, norwegian, swedish) Þyskáland (icelandic) and Däitschland (luxembourgish). And of course the other countries where dutch or german is spoken; Suriname, Belgium, the constituent countries of Aruba, Curacao and St Maarten, Switzerland, Austria, Liechtenstein. (and I just found out afrikaans is spoken in Namibia aswell, as the lingua franca)
All in all quite a lot of countries that have something similar to Deutschland. I guess basically all the countries that speak a germanic language which isnt english.
I've been out of school 2 years and German is my third language (native English speaker, reasonably good Irish, 4-5 years of German at school) so I was really delighted to get them all right 🙂
Very fun. I got lucky I think.
