South American Capitals Without First or Last Letters Quiz

Can you name the capitals of the countries that are in South America without their first or last letters?
For the purposes of this quiz, French Guinea is a territory of France and will thus not be counted.
For those capitals with a two letter word, the rule still applies, but it will be indicated by an asterisk.
One country has two capitals, therefore it will have two different hints.

Shouldn’t it be “*a a”, not just “*a”

No, it shouldn't. I believe my notation is correct because the first word is "la." As seen in my above description, a two letter word will be noted as an asterisk because a two-letter word without the first or last letters would be nothing. Therefore, I use the asterisk to note that "hey, there is still a word here!" I felt like if I denoted it otherwise it would've a.) been a gimme, or b.) lead you astray. I appreciate the feedback, but I do believe based off my earlier explanation that the correct denotation is "* a" for the Bolivian capital.
