No food can reduce belly fat. Primarily, there's no way to achieve targeted fat loss. Bicep curls won't reduce fat in solely your arms, as crunches won't reduce fat in your stomach. Secondly, if you're consuming something, it has caloric value, and therefore will contain energy you're putting into your body. These foods and ingredients might help your digestive system, stimulate muscle growth, etc. but the only ways to reduce fat are 1. Consuming fewer calories and 2. Exercising/expending energy in some other respect. This is why people are fat.

All Calories consumed are not the same. 600 Calories gained drinking cola and 600 Calories gained eating apples and cabbage are completely different and behave way different as well. That has a lot to do with sugar & rent vs. fibre, nutriants, vitamins etc. Calory counting is humbug and people should concentrate more on eating fresh food and produce and leave all the industrial "food" alone.

P.s. some foods (green apples for example) are known to have so called 'negative calories' which (putting it simply) means that digesting them will actually use up more calories than they contain in them, so you actually could lost weight eating them.
