Tokyo 2020 Gold Medals per person by country

Hello and welcome to my first ever blog - anywhere: the Olympics have ended and the scores are in, or rather the total number of medals. I was excited to see China doing so well; China's medal score seems to improve each time we compete, but we are still pipped at the post by long time leaders - USA. I feel so sorry for Russia; I bet they wish for the same medal scores they used to get under the old USSR! However, in all this, I was impressed that the UK - the same size and population as Hunan [one of China's provinces] came fourth overall. That got me thinking about some of the smaller countries, with much smaller populations, and how well they did relative to their size and population. I'm relatively new to the JetPunk family, but I have loved every moment of it so far - it is interesting, fun and educational - all rolled into one! I hope you all enjoy the quizzes as much as I do, and I look forward to a quiz-filled future, right here on my current favourite website.
