There were several exclusions made, mostly since they were resource sets with no instructions on a specific model or scene. These were:

  • 1985 - 4.5V Technic Resource Set Large. This set came with 1519 pieces, but was a collection of pieces with no intended build.
  • 1991 - Giant Lego Topic Set. Another Dacta educational set, this time with 2165 pieces, but not a complete model to build.
  • 1994 - Technology Resource Set. Similar to the 1985 set with 1738 pieces this time.
  • 1996 - Bonus Lego Basic Town. This set came with 2456 pieces, and although it contains several models for people to build, it also came with a range of additional bricks which boosted its brick count.
  • 2005 - Star Wars / M&M Mosaic Promo Set. This set had a huge 5462, but being a promotional set with only 400 copies created for a limited time, it was not included since it was not commercially available.
