The three point shot was introduced to the NBA in 1979–80. In that first season, the average team took only 2.8 three pointers per game, and made just 28% of them. Last season, the average team shot 34.2 three pointers per game and connected on 36%.

From 2011–2023, all but one NBA Finals featured either the Miami Heat or Golden State Warriors, with the two teams never playing each other.

In 2022, Grinnell College attempted 111 three pointers in a single game, hitting 40 of them. They didn't attempt a single two point shot.

Lakers Guard D'Angelo Russell wore the number 0 in college because he claimed that was how many people could guard him. Entering the league, the Lakers already had a number 0, Nick Young. Russell decided to play Young 1 on 1 for the number. The Lakers later would announce that Russell had chosen the number 1 for his jersey number.

Bulls star DeMar DeRozan had his home broken into in 2020, with the burglar breaking in through a window and cutting the power. DeMar chased after the burglar upon hearing his daughter screaming, and the robber was caught by the police. The man was actually looking for Kylie Jenner's house and broke into the wrong home, according to police.
