Duh! I don't know if I'm having a bad day or am just totally clueless. Missed some obvious ones. I'd never realised that although there have been a few woman presidents, there's not yet been a female Toiseach. I wonder why that should be.

Thanks for playing! There have been 4 Táinaistí (second to the Taoiseach) in our history, however none have managed to get promoted to the coveted role of Taoiseach. Mary Lou McDonald is currently the president of Sinn Féin, who have never secured a majority but could in the next Dáil.
