King of Sparta; Husband of Helen (cause of the war). Would've killed Paris had Aphrodite not carried Paris away. Brother of the above.
Menelaus
The best warrior on the Greeks' side; Father is Peleus and his Mother is Thetis. Killed Hector. Famous for being shot in the heel by Paris.
Achilles
Foster brother and closest friend of the above. Killed by Hector.
Patroclus
The prince of Salamis and the son of Telamon. Fights a whole afternoon one-on-one with Hector. Commits suicide when Achilles' armor is rewarded to Odysseus rather than himself.
Ajax
Kills Pandarus and wounds Aeneas. Stabs Aphrodite in the wrist. He and Athena wound Ares. Present in the night raid.
Diomedes
Son of Laertes and King of Ithaca; Known for his cleverness and glib tongue. Husband of Penelope and Father of Telemachus. Took him a while to get home after refusing to thank Poseidon.
Odysseus
King of Pylos; Too old to fight, he served as an advisor in the war. Tells tales of "the good ol' days" to the other warriors.
Nestor
Son of Priam and Hecuba; A favorite of Apollo. A captain of the Trojan forces. Very important character. Killed by Achilles because he killed Patroclus.
Hector
Also called Alexander; Also Son of Priam and Hecuba. Destined to be the ruin of his country. Asked to judge the beauty between Aphrodite, Athena, and Hera by giving one of them a golden apple. Famously shot Achilles in the heel with a poison arrow and them died from the arrows of Philoctetes.
Paris
The king of Troy and Son of Laomedon; Had 50 sons and 12 daughters with Hecuba. Had 42 more children with various other people. Neoptolemus (Achilles' son) kills him in front of his wife and daughters during the night raid.
Priam
Wife of the above; Suffers the loss of most of her children, but she survives the fall of Troy. Later, she is turned into a dog.
