Not sure about the clue for cicchetti - the Italian for "nothing" is "niente" or "nulla". Being a total anorak I've looked it up in an Italian etymological dictionary which seems to think it comes either from the French "chiquer" (which has to do with shoving stuff in your mouth) or the Spanish "chico", which has the sense of something little.
