same way as in real life for example I dont cheer when managing to open the front door, but if I manage to get out of an Escape Room with a very low succesrate in time, Im pretty happy ;)
And if you went through a quiz, like this one, that was not super easy, and it posed a challenge for you and you had to think about the answers, but in the end you managed to get them all maybe with just a few seconds to spare, that's not as good of a feeling for you as when you miss two or three?
I was also a bit surprised to not see Ultron, but, a lot of villains don't get much screen time and he's only been in one movie. He's also an expensive special effect. Not that surprising upon reflection.
Biggest surprise for me on a missing character was Nebula, who has 18:15 minutes of screen time according to IMDB. Guess she was in the first GotG a lot less than I thought.
So I question his appearance on this list.

Poor Nick Cage.
Couple suggestions: should accept "Happy" for Happy Hogan. and "Ned" for Ned Leeds. Also maybe could use some more time. Even this MCU fanatic could have used an extra 30-60 seconds.
Your quiz and your call, of course, but I know when I was doing my X-Men film characters quiz I tried to be as flexible on this as possible to make it more accessible to casual fans. Like... I know there are probably many people who saw the films, might know that Kitty Pryde's first name is Kitty because she is called that in the films without having any clue what her last name was or that she goes by Shadowcat in the comics (never once referred to by this name in the movies). I can imagine many many fans of the MCU movies...
Though it is surprising to me even considering all of the above just how much more he got than everyone else. A full 112 minutes more than the 1st-runner-up. Even including the 2 multi-part miniseries that several other characters had on Disney +, which didn't feature Tony at all.
Give it another 10 years and maybe Spider-Man or Thor will catch up.
