It's fun to see what kind of non-sensical sentences you end up with.

Wasn't Apartheid more or less dismantled under the presidency of de Klerk which allowed Mandela to become President?

Even if Mandela was not the president of South Africa at that point, he was still one of its leaders. Edited the question to reflect the nuance.

This is true. I hope most people knew he was not cheering on wild antelopes!

I would suggest to change the word precipitate. I think the word might be too complicated for non-native english speakers. I have a decent grasp of the English language (this site is a great way to tell, I noticed I often do even better than native speakers on the word quizzes. Though I know knowledge is not the same as quickly recollecting/making connections. (though I am awfull at recollecting! it is a wonder I remember my name) But also often see comments of English speakers not knowing certain words, while I háve heard of them).

I recognized the word, but only know it in its use in connection to rain etc. I could guess sort of could be the meaning here ( I was thinking something like started or caused) from the context. But I don't think use of the word is something you come across often.

On a side note, I found the range questions quite confusing, thought that might just be me.

Fun quiz, I thought the previous one was better though. I liked that one better anyway.

On to nr 3

Thanks for the feedback. The first one translated to French pretty easily, I think. This second one, not so much! It definitely uses more wordplay instead of straightforward questions and knowledge. Maybe that was a mistake on my part, because it does lead to frustration! The song “Home on the Range” is a very commonly known traditional song in the Americas. Then the continental variety of range could only refer to mountain ranges! It is perhaps a bit too obtuse given that if you miss a single question you’re in trouble on the whole quiz! The French #2 might’ve been a bit better than this one, though.

Nah, I’m sure many people think of it as just a big heartless company nowadays.

the amount of time it took me to figure out I needed to interpret range as in mountain range is frankly embarrassing
