Daimler entrepeneur Emil Jellineck named some of his race cars after his daughter Mercédès in the early 1900s, and the name stuck. Paul will be accepted from now on.

This was very good. Only missed Simone de Beavouir, whose name I've seen but would not have guessed in a million years, and Kant, which is embarrassing because I can see one of his books on my shelf from where I'm sitting as I type this. I was stuck on Goethe and then I just gave up.
