Or you could spend too much time on the internet, like me. I've only watched seven of these but got 19 of them. Liked the clues though.

I completely missed that one! I started skimming because I don't watch cartoons, horror, action...and never even saw the Pulp Fiction one until time ran out...Maybe others missed reading that too...my eye will always land at the same spot on a page, and skip the same thing, repeatedly. Maybe people are the same? There were a couple I kept rereading and either got wrong every time, or could not remember but know I saw (Taxi Driver kept making me think Apocalypse Now and I must have seen that Matrix slow mo thing 50 times but couldn't place it). I read those so many times but never the Pulp Fiction one. And I love Samuel Jackson so much.

42 years ago. I remember, 'cause after seeing that, I went home and found this really cool interlocking cardboard grid that, when stood on edge, looked just like a skyscraper. So I did what any other kid would do in that situation: tried to create my OWN towering inferno in my back yard. Bad idea. Cardboard just wouldn't catch, and mom saw me. I got spanked plenty of times, but that was the only time mom broke out the belt!

Not sure by what you mean, "First scary movie." There were many, many scary movies before that one. It was one of the big disaster movies of the '70s, but it wasn't even the first one of those - Poseidon Adventure was before it, and maybe Earthquake, but I'd have to look that one up to be sure. Disaster was big in the '70s. It probably had something to do with disco. :)

I already knew that I was old, but yeah, it is sobering thinking about how the movies I watched when I was in high school are probably going to be showing up on AMC soon.

edit: nevermind I looked up AMC's current programming and apparently around 2002 they decided to change their content. Is there another channel that focuses only on old movies? Maybe Turner Classic Movies.

"A former soldier talks to the mirror and tries to act out a confrontation"........ This reminds me of the movie "Tiara Tahiti"... one of my favourite movies of all time, where John Mills does this before confronting James Mason ........ marvellous acting and a great story.

Am I the only one (question that start that way are usually answered with yes... regardless of the truth... but ah well) that thinks a better clue for raiders of the lost ark would be: guy runs from giant boulder?

I love the indiana jones movies, the scene described didnt trigger the right movie for me. The running from the giant boulder is definitely more iconic.

+1
Level 72
May 30, 2019
you are right that running from the boulder is probably more iconic, but I always remember the scene where he kills the swordsman because it made me laugh so much the first time I saw it. I think it's memorable to a lot of people and a little bit more challenging than the very well known boulder scene

Well I don't know why I came here tonight,

I got the feeling that something ain't right,

I'm so scared in case I fall off my chair,

And I'm wondering how I'll get down the stairs,

Clowns to the left of me,

Jokers to the right, here I am,

Stuck in the middle with you.

Yes I'm stuck in the middle with you,

Good to see Goodfellas on a quiz . . .Its based on a true story and a much better mob movie than the OK but overrated godfather series.

I always say Godfather 1 and 2 are superior films, but Goodfellas is just more fun to watch. For Godfather you have to actually sit down and pay a lot of attention but for Goodfellas you can watch it from any part and enjoy it a lot
