Echo & What If…? Season 2 Thoughts

Umm… so I haven’t gotten around to either series. I know this is very unlike me, but school’s got my schedule booked. And watching the NFL playoffs have been taking over my weekends. Hopefully I’ll have time this month, but I have a few several busy weeks coming up, so I’m not sure. Do expect I will be reviewing the upcoming movies for March’s CQMB though! (Aka Madame Web 😀).

Steven Yeun Out of Thunderbolts

In 2023's March CQMB, I included the announcement that Steven Yeun, an actor known for his role in Jordan Peele' Nope, would be joining the Thunderbolts. He had been casted as the character of Sentry, but those plans seem to have fallen through, as Yeun has dropped out of the project.

Jonathan Majors' Interview on GMA

Okay well… this was all the validation I needed. I was so upset to find out Majors’ verdict was guilty because I really had thought he would help carry the MCU. I was shocked to find out Good Morning America would be holding an interview with him regarding the lawsuit, and well… it is very obvious he’s guilty. He continues to claim he’s innocent, but with the clips shown during the interview, as well as the way he avoiding several questions with vague responses, it was obvious he was suspicious. We can only hope for the best for the future of the MCU. The interviews are available of YouTube.

Looks Like Sentry Has Been Swooped!

And just like that, Steven Yeun’s character has been recast by Lewis Pullman from the cast of Top Gun: Maverick. I honestly don’t totally remember his character so well from the movie (I’ve only seen it once), but it’s good it seems the production for Thunderbolts is making swift progress.

Supergirl Has Been Cast…

The character of Supergirl, set to make an appearance in both Superman: Legacy and Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow has been cast. It sounded like the decisions had come down to actresses Meg Donnelly and Milly Alcock. Donnelly is known for her roles in the Zombies franchise on Disney Channel, and Milly Alcock has become well-known through her performances in House of the Dragon. And the final decision came out to be… Milly Alcock. Alcock will be portraying Supergirl for this new DCU. I don’t know much about her, but she definitely looks the role.

Spider-Man 4 Storyline Dispute

Okay, so Sony and Disney seemed to have clashed. It’s sounding like Sony is wanting to approach Spider-Man 4 for it to be another big, multiverse movie that would bring back Tobey and Andrew again. Disney on the other hand is listening to the fans, aiming to take the story to a street-level scale. This is the debate going on right now, and I’m really hoping Disney will win this decision.

Deadpool 3 Trailer Coming Soon?

I don’t believe anything is for sure confirmed, but as of right now it sounds like Deadpool 3 will release its trailer during the Super Bowl, which is super exciting. Super Bowl trailers are one of the biggest highlights of each Super Bowl (besides the Super Bowl itself). And Deadpool 3 is sounding like it’ll practically save the MCU. My hype is skyrocketing for this movie because I know the trailer will not fail to excite me.

Thank You!

Thank you for taking time out of your day to read this month’s CQMB. Be sure to stay tuned for the next CQMB which will release on the first of March.

I seriously hope Disney wins out- Their decisions with Marvel are questionable, but I think they would have better insight with Spiderman after the uh... Madame Web trailer. Thunderbolts news is interesting, and I am kind of looking forward to seeing this one for the sole purpose of bringing together a whole bunch of Marvel Shows.

Yeah, I’m honestly a little worried about Thunderbolts… I think Spider-Man 4 will end up being okay though honestly, cuz the last three have been pretty good (I don’t think Far From Home is as bad as people make it out to be).

I'm torn...

No Way Home was the best of the 3 previous Spider-Man films. Disney's idea sounds closer to Homecoming. But their idea is obviously the best one. Also, what are your guesses for the Spider-Man 4 villain?

I really think Spider-Man deserves a street level story. Like when you think about Spider-Man (2002) with Tobey Maguire, there weren’t any other superheroes teaming up with him, or any global stakes. That’s what I want to see for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, cuz even Homecoming had Iron Man (which was great, but I want to see a movie just centralized on Peter). I’m guessing Spider-Man 4’s villain could be something like Kingpin, or it could very well be like Scorpion. I think either would be good, but it’s probably about time to have Scorpion make an appearance after Homecoming’s mid-credits scene. Thanks for checking out my CQMB, McKenzieFam!

Don't you worry, Claptime. I'll keep coming back as long as you keep posting :)

And yes, it's about time that Spider-Man faced a villain that wasn't possibly threatening the whole world
